The contradiction between saying they want to protect women while allowing men into their private spaces only exists if you assume they are being honest and telling the truth. The fact is that that the left frames themselves as the party that protects discriminated groups so they _need_ someone to need protection to leverage for votes. In a decade or two, assuming nothing shakes things up before then, they'll be advocating for actual women again, just a cycle of using the group protected today to create the group to be protected tomorrow. All that matters to them are that they have a talking point to phrase as a moral high ground to maintain their personal power.
